It was collateral damage to stop this buzzing mosquito problem we have from that region...your real account is unaffected, so it worked.

Here's hoping that particular bloodsucking pest is now blocked.

So will I not be able ever use my phone again, or do I have to change my IP address?

My guess is they banned the entire Verizon IP address tree to try and keep ONE member off the site...

Remember guyz... this is a PRIVATELY OWNED site. As much as you may disagree with how things are handled here, it's still not your call. The admins and mods are doing what they feel is necessary. They have a big job keeping tabs on EVERYTHING going on here.
it's best to accept that and move on.
This is still the BEST rotary enthusiast site in the world imo.
I think most have learned a LOT through this site... I know it's helped me more times than i dare count.

Until this IP ban is lifted I can't help you as this was implemented for a reason.

good luck

It's not gonna do much good Rob... nice thought, but, if the IP tree is banned how can you unlock an IP under it? Also, smartphones acquire a new IP address every "web session" (powercycle or data connection changes)... thus once an IP is unlocked it would only "hold" until the phone acquires a new IP address

But, if you can work some magic Rob it would be appreciated.

NOTE: the IP address I PMed you yesterday for my phone has obviously changed (just confirmed also) so don't bother trying to unlock yesterday's IP as it's different today.

Seriously, who cares? None of you are paying for this, you are here for your own personal gains or else you wouldn't have joined. You have no "rights" on this forum, and if you honestly think this will end up in court you need to start taking your meds. None of this is yours, the post you just posted isn't yours, the screen name you use on their website isn't yours, it's theirs, on their servers and internet they pay for. You should just be happy they let us use it at all. They could delete the whole database and shut down the website tomorrow if they wanted to, what are you going to do then? Go to court and complain about that? lol

If you don't like it go make your own site, it is in now way as easy or as cheap as you think it would be. That isn't even sarcasm though. When the old V8Rx7blahblah.com site wanted to start charging for memberships one of the members started norotors.com. The old site quickly shut down. Rx7club is in no way even a hint of being close to as bad as the old V8rx7 website, and attempting to split such a weak "community" would be even more futile.

Some of you can't access this free service, to get free information, to try and schedule meets for free, sell your useless junk for free, use all the services they provide free, on your verizon cell phone. Boo hoooo. Get over it, seriously.

I don't always agree with what you say tweak, but this is exactly what I was thinking.

Just count your blessings.

One of the better ways I can think of to yak yer way off this website for a vacation. Keep yer mewing threats to yourself.

Let's try a tweak and see if that brings back some of the connectivity for the mobile community here...I've got the whole affected list already.

edit: I just looked at the time. I'll do this tomorrow.

I'm a continual optimist for peace between my friends.. Seems like the easiest solution but I know that's not quite the case..

Not trying to cause trouble, just throwing it out there..
