Looks like you've done ALOT of work. Kudos on persiverance. One thing, if you used bondo/fiberglass to "fill" the moulding channels, you may be sorry in the long run. Best to tack in thin wall sheet, then fill and sand gaps/seams. Eith the weather temp changes up here and the flex/jarring of the doors, filling them eventually either cracks or looses bond in weak points. If you "have to fill. drill a series of small holes along the area first and grind with rough grit, then tape a mesh/screen on the inside before you glass. Makes for a much stronger bond. It also won't split or break when some *** decides to t-bone your door with a shopping cart or thier door.
Yes! Exactly what I was thinking when I saw the pics of the moulding shave. That is too thick of bondo. It will crack in a few years. I've seen people pull that shave off successfully with sheet metal. Not easy, but then again if it was a lot more people would probably be doing it (not that I like it personally).

I appreiciate all the comments and tip!! I started this project knowing nothing about car and body work. I have learned everything I know just by doing it!!
I love all the tip and really take them all into consideration. If anybody is willing to help out that is awesome aswell. Any body with good fiberglass rxperiance. I would love to get a hand learning how to work with fiberglass. I cam buy pizza but no beer sucks being under 21
anyways it's a fun project and that sheet metal to shave the door molding is not a bad idea. I don have a welder though

Finally got a couple days to work on her again!!!
Anyways I started Tearing into the engine - Finishing removing Emmissions!
When I pulled my EGR off IT WAS CAKED WITH CARBON AND TOTALLY CLOGGED :O Holy **** haha
Its all clean under there now.
Next move is to clean up my throttle body, UIM and LIM As Well as Fuel Rails. Getting SS Lines for Fuel lines ect. and a walbro 255 pump for the future.
Going to paint the UIM and LIM and Clean them up because they are ******* nasty looking 200K Miles really makes them look like ****.
Wasnt in the mood to do much body work. Put some glass on the Side skirts so I can finished molding them.
I have removed the doors and hood so I can finished them aswell makes it a little easier.
Getting closer and closer to paint. I Cant wait.
Painted a little on my Friends car. Hood, Mirrors, and We painted my bumper because When his car got stolen they wrecked his body kit bumper so we painted up my stock bumper and installed it.
We are Rattle can KINGS!!!

Well I got some Goodies in the last few days!!!
Mazda Speed Seat belt pads
Front and Rear Strut Bars! Got them for 30 BUCKS, Sense I already had a Front I installed the front on my Friends car.
NO MORE CAT! Finally got my Pipe in and now she cat less.
But otherthan that It was just more body work!
Painted some **** up. Going to be doing Silver accents on them like on the throttle body So its not all black. Time to finish up my Emmissions removal aswell.

Well I celebrated my Birthday with my mom and Stepdad Tonight. Even tho my birthday was last week, but anyways!
I got a Spray Gun kit to paint my car with. I know they are not the best but I have never painted a car before and They thought this would be a good starter kit to help me along sense i dont really have the cash to buy some becuase of my Daughter that is soon to be here. Anyways here are some pics!
I got a Big gun with Two canisters for Paint, A Small, Touch up Gun, With 2 Canisters. Random Fittings, a Coil hose, and a little air blaster thingy
Im Super Stoked!

make sure you shake that can up real good anytime you set the gun down for a period of time. if you don't, your metal flake will settle and it will start shooting out blotches of flake instead of having it evenly mixed in the paint. props on the DIY man, good luck and hopefully ill see it around town when its done.

Go to the hardware store and buy some more tips for that sprayer, stain tips would work ok if your in a pinch. I had that same gun for spraying trim and doors on houses. It comes with a tip sized for latex paint. It will shoot thick and heavy, not what you want to use to learn with. You gotta use what ya got, but get some different tips for the sprayer and test on some scrap first. More thin coats is better than less thicker coats. When you get a few extra bucks, pick up a gravity feed. It's alot easier to use and will give you a better finish. Also, be sure to use a compressor that will handle the sprayer! VERY IMPORTANT! If the compressor won't keep up, you'll end up with uneven coats, spatter, and all sorts of problems. Make sure you put a filter and regulator between the compressor and the gun, keeps moisture from getting into paint, and allows you to adjust pressure to gun. Good luck! Spraying is trial and error till ya get some trigger time. It's rewarding when you get the feel and rythm down though.

Well My Triple Gauge Pod Arrived today. Havnted installed it yet because of no guages yet but did a quick mock up.
I need to do a little trimming to it and make it fit a little bit better.
There is this big *** peice of plastic on one edge that hits the windsheild.
The pictures will show it.
And for Some reason when I was installing the rear strut bar i decided to cut the Towers. I saw another car with it and i liked it so I did it to mine. I need to clean it up a little bit more make the edges look good and smooth but it will turn out good when Im done.
Gettting really close to Paint. Now I just need to put some glaze over the pin holes from the filler and finish the other sideskirt getting that glassed in.
So My To do list:
Fix nasty rust spot on NA Hood. ( NA hood will be installed for now because TII hood is undergoing work)
Finish Deleting Door Moldings
Fiberglass and Fill Driver side, sideskirt
Mold rear bumper
Than Glaze all pin holes and scratches ect.
Than strip out interior - Clean it all out
Primer car!
Paint!
Not to far off. Just need the $$$$$. All of us 7 Owners are broke unless you got a really good job.

Triple Gauge pod Installed, Stupid Thing said it was make for FC's but it didnt fit worth a ****.
Modified it to the best I could had to Grind down a lot of the plastic. But its ok for now. Need to get some black screws or just paint it for now. Done mind the color difference, Gray interior with black gauge pod. I'm am switching to black interior as soon as I can.
Started Fixing up my NA hood while my T2 hood is being worked on. Gonna take a while to make the T2 hood perfect so it will be running with NA hood
Other than that, Finishing the Body work. Got some glaze putty today and started with the parts of the car that are dont with bondo
Not much left till paint! Getting excited!!!!

My Props man, looks like a lot of work, and it's awesome seeing the progress. I had a double take with the rattle can paint job pics though. your interior looks like my old FC when I gutted it, haha, of course I was only 16 then. I can't wait to see the paint!

oh, I forgot to ask. Why did you strip it down to the metal? I'm not a body work guru at all, but I always remember people saying that it's not advised. and what did you use to fill in the door moldings? fiberglass?

the body kit is a little emm. flashy, lol
but you are making it look good and if you like that is all that matters
I like the intake manifold the black really brings it out
