Good-bye and thank you Blake
Good-bye Blake and thank you for your gift of friendship, knowledge, kindness and for your passion.
I looked forward every year to re-connecting with great people like Blake at events like Sevenstock. It won't be the same without Blake....
May you rest in peace

I'm speechless. Our corporate headquarters are a few blocks from PR and I drove by with intentions of stopping last week and didn't. I'm just in shock... my prayers are with him and his family.

I had the pleasure to meet Blake a year ago at seven stock 9
What a great and knowledgeable guy.
This year at SS X, we met the night before at the hotel bar just reminiscing and BSing about our experiences w/ rotary guys in general.
It was a gathering of truly great rotor heads.
On our table were some of the great's: Rick Engman, Francesco Iannetti, Paul from Mazmart, Wayne Graham, ofcource Blake and Pine Apple Rob, my self and my wife.
We sat there 'till they closed the bar out and us w/ it.
Was a great time.
What a God dam! Loss.
This man was one of the most knowledgeable people in Rotary I had ever met.
Besides, his knowledge of Automotive in general was beyond most.
I was most impressed by his knowledge while engaged in a technical conversation w/ R. Engman about the read suspension of the Cosmo Rs110 which was a hybrid of an IRS & Live axle, and Blake knew about it and it's proper name.
(the Dion Tube).
This man just had such a vast knowledge of Automotive in general, I was overtaken by his presence and kindness.
What a God dam shame !
I really liked this guy, and that's not something I can openly say about most people in meet in this Rotary addiction we prescribe to.
I have to say that as I 'm writing this post, I'm becoming increasingly emotional, ....
I'm not ashamed to state that !
He was 1 of those people you meet and become fond off
This was just a month and a half ago.
As I left SSX, I had a feeling I would build a great relationship w/ this guy.
How wrong I was !
Just recently, within the last 2 weeks,
I had a very sad & sobering experience while on an International Racing trip.
We lost 2 boys in what was a tragic and unfortunate Hy way incident.
I was summed to ID the corpses.
Not a memorable experience.
It's a riminder of how fragil life can be, ...
I met Blake, and to me he was one of those GREAT GUY's you happen to see for what they are and believe in them.
Regardless of what caused his actions,
I WANT TO REMEMBER HIM THIS WAY.
GOD BLESS YOU, ... YOU DESERVE THE BEST !
I'LL SEE YOU UP THERE SOME DAY ...
WILL FOREVER MISS YOU,
Carlos

Blake, it was unfortunate that I didn't get to meet you at SSX this year. I wanted to thank you for helping me get my money back from a well known scammer. No words can convey what I am feeling now. What you did for me will never be forgotten.
I hope you will be happier in the world you are in now. We will all miss you.
Rest in peace, friend.

Blake was a great guy. He helped me find my 3rd generation and he always had a good technical outlook which can be a rarity at times on forums. He was a good man and will be missed.

I see a lot of people respondng to this from the Seattle area. Any of you planning on going to the memorial next Saturday? I'm looking for people to drive down with. Sure hope I'm not the only one from the area going. Please let me know if you're planning on going.
