Very sad news, was able to attend a couple of Apple Blossom events with him and always enjoyed his company and valued his vast knowledge.
Our prayers are with his family.

This is just crazy.
I met Blake at the first ever RPNW meeting, Blake was new to rotaries back then 1997 or 1998 IIRC but he put most of the effort to get the group together. He met up with Rob@Pineapple and had him help with the motor rebuild for his GRM $2001 car. Since then he has become quite knowledgable when it comes to rotaries.
Blake inspired myself and a fellow car nut to build our GRM $2002 TII.
I saw his RX seven-and-a-half project for sale last week on Craigslist. I couldn't believe he was selling it.

Wow, this was a shocker. Blake stayed at my house twice for the 2 GRM $2000 challenge events he did - really damn nice guy. I've known him for some time before that from the TeamFC3S list back in the day.
Great loss to the rotary community. My condolences go to his family and friends.

I read this last night and have been at an utter lost for words. Blake was so helpful to so many of us. He was very generous with his time and energy and answered the stupidest questions I asked with grace. He was one of the guys that has made the rotary community great. He will be missed.
Rest in Peace, Blake.
Thank you for all you have done.

WOW!! i never talked with blake or the guys at pineapple but i have known about them for many years and have always heard that he was the person to take your motor to when it needed rebuilt. i have read many of his posts on here and know that he will be missed by many. my thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family. please keep us all posted on both the memorial drive as well as the funeral arrangements. i foresee a funeral procession with rx7's as far as the eye can see (which would be a great tribute to him by all those who he has touched over the years. )
R.I.P. Blake you will be missed by many.

Ideas for a drive-
Maybe re run his last run to Manzanita and back
I know this might be way off the wall but maybe this time next year do a memorial run of one of his GRM routes. The one time I did meet him we talked for a long time about crazy drives and I remember how he was laughing about some of his crazy adventures

Bimmer *****
i feel for his family. i remember when he threatened a lawsuit on me, because i made an animated avatar based on his rotary engine illustration, intellectual property. was pretty silly, for just an 80x80 avatar.

I just heard about this and am completely flattened. Creating RPNW with Blake and a few others is one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I have more to say but right now I just need to reflect.
Blake, I don't know what has happened, but thanks for everything and rest well! I wish the best for his survivors.

I won't let go
Unfortunately I've never had the opportunity to meet him. Regardless, on behalf of RC3, RIP.
On a side note [to the mods/admins] was his account his own or shared? Reason I ask is that it says his last visit was today.

Sad to hear the horrible news. The rotary community has definately lost a valued member. It seems this year has been particularly tough on dedicated rotorheads. My good friend Jury Swanson and forum member Guitar Junkie (Dave Segella). I bought one of those laminated rotor cycle posters off of Blake years. I think now I'll finally go get it framed and hang it in my shrine to all things rotary; my garage.
I only met and talked with Blake a few times, all of which were at the bar in the Hilton during Sevenstock. He always remembered me and seemed like a good guy, especially considering he'd put up with me while I've been drinking.

You will be missed.
