some people might be annoyed by this post but whatever you clicked on it
if thats confuesing what I mean is, has anyone ever owned and driven a car that was originally a japanese car imported to canada then purchased in the states and brought over the border ?
Can this be done legally or even done illeagally ?
any thoughts ? What kind of options are there out their ?

Legally no, it is not too hard to import Canadian market cars, but not JDM cars by way of Canada, it is still a JDM car. It would have to be federalized through an importer (very, very expensive).
Illegally - sure! You can do whatever you want illegally!

not to contribute to the deliquency of people but how easy could you get away with changing vin# and other identifing features ?
say you have a 1988 usdm FC and a 1988 jdm Fc and a vin number just happends to get swaped, what else would I need to change to make this somewhat legit

well the problem is that the JDM car is going to be RHD so if you get pulled over the cop might get suspicious...
Don't see why you'd want to import a JDM 2nd gen chassis anyway.

ive been thinking about this subject for some time but after reading the deq website about importation it made it sound pretty much impossible. thus killing my dreams of an evoIII. try getting ahold of a local importer and see what they have to say about it.
