13b in a VW?
ok, so i was picking up a part from the ups guy i know, and he started to talk about my car, then he said that he had a 13b in a VW vangon, it had a lot of custom fabrication but it worked and it was really cool and i couldnt believe that it would work. it was the crazyest set up i have seen but sick as hell, the only thing was he could not get the altinater to work right, but when it did he said it cruses pretty good, and pretty fast lol.
didnt know that would have worked but it does and it was pretty cool.

I believe it. It isn't really a good swap IMHO, 13b doesn't have much torque and the Vanagon is heavy.
The Suby 2.5L motor is a much better swap, same type of motor as the original and it has some good low end torque, 165hp isn't bad compared to the original 90hp stock VW motor. I think they weigh 3500-4000lbs!

12a in a baja here in vancouver wa. I just got a 300zx turbo, v6 with 200hp stock. the v6 will be going in the baja next fall and the rotary will be turboed and put in a street bug. I am done with bug engines, trying to weed out carbs also.

If you want to see a fast vanagon go to my friends Jeffs brothers site. They just got done putting a JDM STI motor in a Vanagon. www.vwrx.com
