wiring harness
hey guys, i just got my first rx7 last week. unfortunatly, my first question is because of my stupidity.
i was installing and amp for four speakers in the car, and i was looking for a place to run the power wire from the battery to the amp. i thought i could run it in with the wiring harness. so, in the process of doing that, i hit another wire in the harness and now my car wont start. when i try to start it, it'll crank over, but never really start. when i did get it started, it would stall when i released the clutch.
the wire is gray in color, and it right on top of the inside of the harness. its a 1986 rx-7 gxl. manual transmission.
my question is, what does this wire do. i tried to follow it, but it goes into a big plastic holder wrapped with electrical tape; and how do i fix this problem?
any suggestions and input would be greatly appreciated. thank you.
