TX Transmission lock-up

I own a 1993 RX7 that has been sitting in my garage for 6 years without being run or moved. We have fixed a fuel pump problem but now we can not get the gear box into gears 1 thru 4. It will only go into reverse and 5th. Actin like not sliding over in neutral. We have replaced the shifter and bushing and checked for debree in area. No transmission problems noted prior to storage. Any quick fixes or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Joe

I think you need to tear into it to figure out what's up. Pull the extension housing and make sure the shift forks are in good shape. Pull the pan to 1-4 housing and look to see if something is stuck inside there. Hopefully there is no rust or other stuff in there.
