AL torsen diff for 88 FC turbo

sorry if this has been beat into the ground but. ive read that you can get a torsen diff out of a miata. take the carrier out and put my FC ring gear on the carrier and have a torsen rear-end? wondering if this is true or does it only work for select diffs? also. is the turbo II diff. better or worse for drifting. my car isnt an actually drift car. its just a hobbie and like to slide it around every once and awhile. so for a daily driver/drifter what would be my best bet. torsen miata carrier or turbo II diff? thanks

Nolan

turbo II then go with 2 way lsd, kazz, os, ect. Turbo II set-up is easiest route also, and strongest out of all the fc diffs. You look into 8.8 conversion?

The miata diff will not fit in the turbo carrier, it will work in an NA FC. Use the torsen from an FD.

what would be my best bet if im not really in the mood to just through out that kind of money for a KAAZ diff right now. should i get a torsen diff from FD? shim my clutches in my diff. or get na diff and weld it? on terms of when ill be driving it. it will pretty much be a weekend warrior. on some local drift spots.. but i will DD it once a blue moon.

Its all pretty much pesonal preference, and money lol. the more you search on this site the more info you will find. Thanks to forums like this we are not the first to try these things. All the info is here on what people before you have done with the above things you asked about. All i know is what Ive done, and that was using an t2 rear with os diff. I know you can get clutch discs from mazdatrix to pack it out to get it to grab better. Im about tired of destroying axels so Ive been reasearching doing the 8.8 conversion, not straight axel tho, IRS setup out of cobra, There is nothing cheap about wanting to slide a FC.
