MA Stereo install

Plenty of questions here. Let me start by saying i am NOT an MECP certified installer, hence why I came here. What is the deal with the relay in the stereo compartment?? it had an aftermarket JVC deck and i know this relay should have been mounted somewhere, but no. Power comes in to prong 30, ground is run to prongs 86 + 87, and either on prong 87a or 85 the remote wire for the AMPLIFIER that has never been installed is connected, the spade terminal that is attached to the rem. is rather loose so I assume it was connected and diconnected during the removal of the old head unit. My question is, Can I do away with this relay? if not what is the proper way to wire it up? and How can I add an amplifier(which will happen) if the remote is connected to something else, without dropping the voltage(so it will actually turn on).

The relay is marked Tyco vf4-45f11 40/30 amp 12vDC

wish i could get some pics but i do not have a camera at this moment.

Assuming it's a 2nd gen, You are looking at a relay to control the power antenna.
See the electrical section of the FAQ for 2nd gen.
https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/frequently-asked-questions-2nd-generation-rx-7-faq-fc-494667/

You need it to change the polarity of the antenna signal.

Ok so now that i spent all day working on this yesterday, I hook everything up and it won't put sound out anymore!!!! I found that the FAQ section failed to mention that there needs to be another wire plugged into the center prong on the relay. which took me forever and now i get NO sound. the head unit is perfect. this is irritating. I'm going to put in another head unit today to make sure that the head unit isnt the problem. ANYTHING???

FAQ has links to Factory Service Manual, nearly everything can be found in the FSM, including the diagrams you need to make your stereo work. does the stereo turn on and no sound comes out or does it not come on at all?
