so i let my se sit for 3 days and this morning when i tried to start it, it fired then died. i tried pumping the gas and it tried to fire but wouldnt so i kept cranking on it and finally she fired over after about 45 seconds but kind of sputtered for a few minutes. i revved it up and it shot a flame out of the exhaust pipe. after that she ran ok. anybody got any suggestions?

Sounds like it might be flooding to me. The thing about a rotary is when its flooded it can sit for a week and still be flooded. And if you kill the engine before it warms up fully, it will flood out. So always let it idle untill it warms up, and the next time it has a hard time starting like that, try this:

Pull all the plugs, and crank the car for about 10 seconds, then dry off the plugs and put them back in. If it was flooded, that will air it out.

Sounds like flooding like the others said. If all you did was let it sit for awhile it's most likely a leaky injector. My old 7 did it all the time. More than 3 days....flooded. Check your plugs for fouling since it flooded, if so wipe em off if their still passable. Another trick you can use is to pull the EGI fuse and crank for 15-30 seconds, put the fuse back in and that usually does the trick.
