ok, 88 turbo 2. fresh engine, upgraded turbo stock boost, 255 warlbro pump, stock enjectors, stock ecu. hks fuel cut defense. full exhaust. question is, come spring ifnot sooner i wanna upgrade my stock injectors and get tuneing this car. i see alot of guys are running haltech or equivalent, i have a good friend who is big into dsms he runs the aem system for logging and tuneing. my question is that are there anyone out there running aem, is it bad or just as good as others. im intrested because he is really good at tuneing his own car and can show me how to use it because he is really familar... any info would be great guys, and another question what size injectors should i buy and what brand. i dont wanna go super crazy trying to stay some what mild and streetable, and where to get them? thanks

There are Numerous Sub Forums on this Site,,Like Haltech,Aem,PFC,RTEK..etc.
You should search through there.
Also,If you prefer Used( to save money) I
would cruise the classifieds on the forum.People are parting cars every day.
AEM Sub Forum: https://www.rx7club.com/aem-ems-81/
The Section is called: Engine management Forum.

good luck.STYX!~

All of the engine management systems do basically the same thing. If your friend is good with AEM, then I recommend that you buy an AEM product. Several years down the road when you have a lot of tuning experience and a really good idea of where you want to go with your engine, then you can switch to another brand without too much trouble. You are not going to be happy if you attempt to start off with an unknown and confusing EMS in which the closest technical help is a phone call to Australia. You will need hands-on help, not telephone or internet help.

You should wait until you buy an EMS before making a fuel injector selection because each EMS has a specific limitation and/or preference with respect to fuel injectors.

Injector Dynamics makes excellent fuel injectors, and other decent popular brands include Siemens, RC Engineering, Bosch, and Denso. Avoid Venom.

I run AEM in many applications including FD/FC RX7's, it works perfect and was quick and easy to set up.
