i have a s4 turbo set up right now but sense my motor is getting completely rebuildt so i was thinking about getting a brand new turbo and get a s5 just the fact you can bolt on a tdo4 turbo to it any words of advice?

S5 turbo engine or S5 turbocharger on an S4 engine? You can't bolt a Td04 turbo to either exhaust manifold. They're both proprietary designs. At any rate S5 turbocharger > S4 turbocharger due to the divided manifold. The existing S4 water and oil lines get re-used for the conversion.

s5 to a s4 engine and idk where i read you could bolt a tdo4 turbo to that but is there any after market turbo you can bolt on to the s5 manifold

Using another S4 engine is much easier, but an S5 short block can be adapted if you retain all S4 sensors & wiring, as well as some other changes addressed in the 2nd gen FAQ.

No, you can't bolt any aftermarket turbo directly to an S4 or S5 exhaust manifold. You need an aftermarket exhaust manifold with a T3, T4, etc... flange.

thanks man i am using a s4 block and everything it just got done getting street ported :] and gonna have it back together next week and i think im just gonna use my s4 turbo till i have money for aftermarket turbo but yet agin thanks for all the advice
