Rx7 fd3s torque settings

I am going to change my altinator on my Mazda rx7 fd3s 1997

Does anyone know the torque settings I will be also changing the belts and wheels any help would be great thanks

Usually a belt should have a half inch deflection.
I'm not an FD guy so I have to ask if there is a self adjusting tensioner on the engine.

USDM FDs do not have self adjusting tensioners. The Factory Service Manual (found online) lists all the torque specs. Think JDM would be same as USDM if you can't find a FSM for a '97

Go the 3rd Gen. Technical Section FAQ. Scroll down the alphabet to 'F' for Factory Service Manual and download a copy. Page C6. Although there is a SST specified they also give a guideline for those without the tool. Applying "moderate pressure" (22 lb/ft) the belt halfway between the alternator tensioner and main pulley should deflect NO MORE than about 9mm.
