RX-7 82 GSL Tubing problems
Alright I bought a RX-7 1982 12a GSL a few days ago, and the guy who had it before me apparently blocked off some tubes, and I don't know how to hook them back up. The car has the AC removed, doesn't look like it has power steering, and apparently doesn't have any cats...
Is there supposed to be a T here?
Where is this supposed to go to?
Some other tubes blocked off with screws
Where do these two tubes go to?
And should I replace that one valvue that has grey/white sealing all over it? I tried getting a picture of a blocked off port on the carb but it didn't come out to well. Anyways any help is appreciated thank you ^_^

Do you have emissions testing in AZ? If not, you might be better off simply removing the rat's nest (emissions cluster) from the car. There are some good threads on rat's nest removal.
Otherwise..... good luck.

I wouldn't mind
I wouldn't mind removing the rats nest at all, and its registered in some other county which doesn't mandate emissions so thats not a problem. The problem is the thread that detailed removal of the rats nest, the photos are no longer up. If there is another thread about 12a rats nest removal I'll take it ^_^. And after I get all the tubes right its onto the electrical. My worry is though is on the crankcase venting, hence why I was asking about those two tubes, on where they went. I hope someone can enlighten me on that.

Check the 1st gen tech section. There is currently a thread on different versions of a rat's nest removal, depending on what components you would like to keep. Has some very good info and diagrams in it...

well
Well I've searched across google about the rats nest on a 82 12a rx7, and I find some posts about it but no pictures because, I guess they've either taken it off of where it was hosted, or the account is inactive. I don't know if I should just try removing some I know shouldn't be there, like AC, and etc or if I should get I a holly carb that comes with all of it removed?

it still has the pics and will walk you through removing the rats nest. changing the carb / exuust is not a bad idea but what is your plan for the car?? is it your daily driver?

Its a weekend car as of right now. And it has a racing beat racing exhaust with no cat or anything on it. Its just the guy didn't seem to know what he was doing with the rest of the emissions stuff, so since there's no cat, I'm just going to remove everything I think. I am wondering though on that blocked off tube, if thats the crankcase vent. And as for other plans, I think I'm just going to restore the car, probably change out the clutch fan for a efan since the clutch fan is permantly on, do the big three, and some other little things. We'll see, about ceramic apex seals, and rebuild maybe in a year.
