Rebuild Time - could use some advice

The coolant seal went on my 93 FD. Ive been searching around for rebuild kits and a I found a few but I would like to see if anyone on here has any recommendations. This will be my first rotary rebuild and im not sure of everything i need.

Also are 3mm apex seals any better than 2mm? I read that 3mm cause more wear on the housings.

If anyone can provide any links to some good rebuild kits, it would be greatly appreciated.

I generally use Atkins rebuild kits because they are a convenient place to buy all the parts needed in one package.

You probably want kit "C".

3MM aren't really much stronger than 2MM and don't seal as well. Only go to 3MM if the rotors are too worn to accept 2MM.

This video may help:

Thanks that sounds good. So kit "c" would have everything I will need?

How are the atkins seals? I've heard a lot about ALS seals but not too much on Atkins

Very often, coolant seal failure is misdiagnosed. How did you come to the conclusion that the seals are compromised?

Also, might want to touch base with KD Rotary. They are somewhere in northern PA and can give you a second opinion on whether the coolant seals are shot. It's good to have a local-ish shop.

Coolant is leaking from my overflow because it fills up but doesn't get sucked back in. I tried getting a new ast cap thinking maybe mine just wasn't strong enough. But that didn't work. I checked for all external leaks and found none. So I then ran a combustion test on it and found out its time for a rebuild
