Question Which radios fit

I have an 88 vert and what to replace my radio tape deck with a model with a cd player. I came across one from a 90, but the plugs are different. Which years will fit an 88?

Why use an aweful and old stock CD player when you can just buy an aftermarket one which is 20x better for less then $200? The opening is a standard DIN size, so any full DIN or half DIN stereo fits with only a little grinding on the bracket. Then use a mounting kit to fill in any empty space below.

Aaron cake is right. an after market is way better. Unless your tryin to do a perfect resto i would go after market. I have a 90 vert with a cd/tape from a 91 vert and it plugged right in but any little bump I hit the cd player is fightin to find the track again if it even finds it. Moral of the story go after market way better. answer to your question though, a S4 radio will probably fit. and I think in 88 they had the cd for the convertibles.
