Question on Race Seats

Modifying an 1986 RX-7 wanna put in new race seats...not sure what is best to go with. Concerned with cash as I'm just starting out any suggestions?

Have a dealer in town that sells JAZ products and Kirkey racing products...any of those seats work for an RX-7? Any model recommendations?

Sorry....totally new to this!

just put a set of sparco's into my car. usually the seats come by themselves. What do you want from the seat? Comfort? Lightweight? Reclinable?

essentially you'll have to get aftermarket seat brackets or fab up your own in order to install most racing seats

If you are doing any kind of racing it is a very good idea to get FIA rated seats. It may be more up front but it would be a shame to get kicked off for seats.

You can get some Bride seats off ebay for relatively cheap and those seats are top notch .

I think you mean "sport" seats because real racing seats are generally not adjustable, have fixed rails and are approved by sanctioning bodies.

Any seat will fit into any car if you can fabricate. The issue you will run into is how high the seat actually sits.

If this is a street car and you are just looking for a more sporty seat, there a load of made in China seats (like the Brides and a host of other names) that despite their low cost, are comfortable and of decent quality.
