there's no cut-and-paste answer for this. i guess the accepted number is 10 to 20%, but actual horsepower numbers will totally depend on a whole host of other variables.

Ok I have a few more questions

Would I have to upgrade anything for a street port???

Ok and the other questions is how far could i get the stock setup to take me before i would have to upgrade the turbo IC fuel system and ecu???

Im trying to plan my upgrades and see how long it would take me

my goal is 400, but if i can make 300 ish with my stock setup (turbo IC) ill be happy for awhile. trying to find a cheap way to get about 100 more hp. Im looking for a quick track/street car. thanks guys

if you're asking if a streetport will run without any other modifications, then the simple answer is yes. however, you should probably find someway to optimize the new lungs. personally, for time now i've felt that a decent aftermarket EMS should be high on the basic upgrade list if you're serious about making power - but that's me.

T2 mods in order

what's your overall budget? either way, i think upgrading your stock intercooler to front mount will be one of the better mods you can do.

Definitely! Some of those variables being, I would add, is making sure the matching changes are made to the engine to free up all of those ponies - make sure the equivalent intake and exhaust mods are done to the engine that match the porting changes made. Otherwise, you're just wasting time and money on larger holes that will actually reduce power output, by interfering with the proper intake of combustion gases and outflow of waste gases.

you're absolutely right. intake and exhaust are issues that MUSt be addressed when you port the engine if you plan to take advantage of the breathing improvements.

however, i was specifically referring to running out of turbo on the stock Hitachi when i made the comment - which ties into intake and exhaust, but a streetport itself does not necessarily deem the stock turbo useless. it comes down to specific setup.

won't touch your suspension or cosmetic needs. at least, not here.

in my opinion, you can never cool things enough, so i wholly endorse the intercooler and radiator upgrades - at least. personally, i'd go the extra mile and start talking about coatings and shieldings and such. it's how i plan to approach my REW project whenever i'm able to get that off the ground.

if you're considering Motec, then i'd offer that you should consider Autronic and Haltech as well. research and make your own decisions. again it's just an opinion, but i'd leave turbo choice for last. you said 400, but you didn't mention spool characteristics or if you'll want room to grow. these are questions you need to answer for yourself, then make an informed decision.
