please help!! my 87 rx7 was over heating and now wont stay on..

ok so ive had my fc for about 5 days, ran like sex for those 4 days the all the sudden the coolant lite popped on and the heat spiked up. i pulled it over and it bogged out and died. i opened the hood it was steaming and spraying coolant out of the heater hose in the back of the engine. i towed it home, and replace the hose, and also replaced the thermostat. that took care of the coolant problem cause the light came off, but now the thing starts up and sounds like **** for 10sec and after sounds regular, then it gets really high like 3000 then dies out.....
i have no idea where to even start now, kinda pissed any info on what it might be would be helpful thanks!

I've had that heater hose blow off on an engine before. The result was not good. The water jacket cracked, and a portion of one of the coolant seals on the rear housing blew out. Water was allowed to seep into the combustion chamber. The engine would run, but after a few minutes it would begin to overheat. Your situation sounds just about identical; including having the engine stall before you had a chance to shut it off. Losing a large amount of coolant can unfortunately be catastrophic.

Rebuilt or replaced. If the water jacket cracked like it did on my engine, housings and irons could be junk as well.

It might be as simple as coolant in the crank sensor and coils. Just drying off the engine bay could fix it. As long as you didn't drive with the hose popped off, the engine should be fine.

well the car is running sounds normal now, coolant light is offf. but it will still overheat when on for more than 5min, and its telling me that there is no oil pressure....
but when i start it up and i take off the coolant cap its bubbling, pretty sure its the seals.

It sounds like the same result I got. Overheated and made the coolant bubble within minutes of running.
