im wondering what the benefits are to removing your oil meterimg pump? im in the middle of my t78 build and ive seen other guys remove theres when going to single turbo. does premixing oil in your gas provide the same effect as the omp? can you have your omp and premix ? or is that to much oil?

The oil metering pump 'meters' the oil being injected into the combustion chamber. By 'meter' I mean the OMP injects a variable amount of oil depending on load. if you remove it and pre-mix, you will always run the same amount. So in regular driving, it will be too much since you are pre-mixing to the max quantity of pre-mix that you should be injecting at WOT full load.
My personal opinion is that you don't gain anything in removing it but loose the reliability of having it. What happens if you run out of pre-mix oil? Eventually, you will forget to restock. i did once.
i usually add some pre-mix a few ounces on a full tank when i track my car just to add some more safety factor. For DD, its not worth it.
