Not pulling hesitation not really bosting on full throttle :9

Having a few probs , car was sat for a while and now isnt runninright.

Basically it acselerates slowly making a small boost on part throttle.

Full throttle it doesent boost properly at all and hesitates and doesent seam to want to go at all.

Ive had it all apart several times, thought it was to do with the rats nest so stripped that all out an simplified it all but it didnt help. Took out the Bosch fuel pump and checked that lst nite seam all ok put it all bck together and it seams to be running a lil bit betta.

Im just running the Apexi base map ( havent got it mapped cos I live so far north ) . Had been running fine b4 being laid up for a while. Fuel is fresh sheel optimax 98ron .

Any help suggestions would be appreciated thanks at my wits end

Jap spec R2 93 btw

Apexi PFC, Apexi AVC-R , Stock engine rebuilt Hayward , Stock Turbo's rebuilt 1K ago, Blitz FMIC, RE-A Intake, Feed Downpipe, Silenced Mid Pipe, Back box. Double throttle removed, rats nest simplified. Bosch 044 fuel pump

new to turbos, as i just had mine installed a few weeks ago, but just a suggestion.. faulty wastegate? if it's been sitting for a while, could be corroded a bit?

You probably have a boost leak. Remove each rubber coupler between the turbos and the throttle elbow, hold it up in the light and stretch it around with your fingers until you find the tear.

If that's ok, remove the hose between the stock blowoff valves and turbos and look for a leak there.

Yeah tried checking for a boost leak with no success. It starts to make boost then is disappears. Really dont understand is that it revs fine when its standing still the problems only start when you start moving

Hello from Tokyo. I am having the same exact problem as you are with my 2000 FD3S.
However, one day I noticed that my intake manifold had a gap opn on it, so I adjusted everything, and closed the gap......and bam.........my RX7 was screaming for the first time since I bought it (3 months ago).

However....later that day it started hesitating again.
The next morning, is was running fine again....as if it was fixed. Then later went back to hesitating..........and has not ran good again since (about 2 weeks now).

SO.....not sure if I hit something while messing around with the manifold area.....but it seems to be related to that for mines. WHat do you you think?

i also had the same problem sorta but mine would get full boost every once in awhile....after checking over everything for leaks i found that i actully had a hole in my seal on my intercooler....i dont know if you got a front mount but thats something to look for if you do.

I am not a mechanic......but I am learning about this car. I now realize that on my defi gauges that when the turbo hits 0 (zero) it starts to sputter or hesitate.

So.....could it be a leak? Bad turbos?

Rite well im replacing all of the silicon tubing between the turbos and the throttle body to see if that makes any difference. Turbos have been on the car less than 500 miles since full bebuild are are visually perfect. Any more suggestions fire away ill try pretty much anything.

Have you checked to make sure your wastegate is fuctioning properly if its not opening al the way or not opening at all the could cause serious boosting issues and lack of power make sure its opening, also because of all your mods have you enlarged your wg because if its still stock it will run your boost way to high especially if your still running stock fuel system. Just a suggestion I had a simialar problem and i was overboosting as soon as iI enlarged my wg it was fine i run 7-9 psi steady with the stock fuel sys. anyway good luck

Im going to be pulling off the wastegates to check them and all of the pipework 2. Im using an Apexi AVCR for boosting which is set to 0.65 Bar , made 292 at that so dont really see the point in turning it up when im going for reliabilty.

Thanks for the advice, another thing to check lol

I have this same problem and my oil pressure at 3rpm is around 55 and some one on this forum told me that I have to rebuild my engine to have this problem fixed:s.
