TX new rx7 owner, never even messed with a rotary before

Sup you guys. Names Mikiell. I'll go ahead and say this to get it out of the way, I am a complete noob when it comes to a rotary engine. I bought an 86 rx7 for 800 bucks. Needs work. The body is in fairly good condition except the driver door and the driver finder. Lets see what else... ahh, the interior.... needs some help but soon enough. It runs and everything but there is a coolant leak or something somewhere. It seems like it keeps pushing the coolant over to the overflow tank, which I'm guessing the thermostat might not be opening enough but just enough to ensure the engine doesn't over heat. Been keeping a close eye on the temp also, seems like it takes it alittle bit to actually warm up. Also, when I first go out to start it up, it takes it alittle bit. Which I was looking around and found out about the Accelerated warm-up system/bypass air control system might actually have something to do with that. Which I do have a thermostat, fuel pump, and fuel filter on the way so maybe it will help alittle with the starting problem. From what I have read about the AWS, I think I can deal with that. Anyway, Also the windshield wipers only have one speed and its not the low speed, which I'm guessing has something to do with the switch. And I think lastly, when I ease off the clutch and ease on the gas there seems to be a thump in the rear end. But if I kinda ride the clutch alittle I can make it not do that, I'm not exactly sure what that is yet but like I said I'm still learning. Well if I think of anything else I'll hit ya guys up. I hope you guys can help me out and teach me a few things. I've basicly read through the Haynes repair manual but unfortunately those are only alittle helpful to someone who really learns with hands on, and no one around here knows much of rotary. So what ever advice or help ya can give me... I'm willing to listen. Peace!
