Hi, me and my dad bought an '89 GLX and are putting a C5 corvette engien and T-56 6-speed trans in it. I'm hoping to be able to review some performance parts on here that we will be putting on the car after we get the engine running.
Also, I have to get my post count up so that I can read certain threads.

There are some advantages to running with an LS1 swap, like increased gas mileage and better N/A aftermarket support. It also doesn't throw off the weight distribution too much, which is still good for track days, not to mention it's a large displacement engine in a small car. From what I've heard the whole swap runs about the same price as a 20b swap.
However, you don't buy an RX-7 to throw away the rotary. You're better off buying an old MKIII supra or Datsun 280Z shell than bastardizing an FC.
Ridiculing aside, good luck with the swap.

I have the same plans here in a few months except I want to go with a 700R4 instead of a T56. It will be a drag car on the weekends and a street warrior during the week!
