WA Microtech - Teach me how to use it

Hey Guys,

My sev has an LTX-8 Microtech and I want to know how to turn my idle up and down. I usually take it to the rotary mechanic and he charges me for it. If I learn, i'll never have to pay someone to do it ever again.

I have never touched the microtech, only check it to make sure the cars warm enough before I drive.

I apologise in advance if this is the stupidist question ever asked. In my defence, Im a girl

If you don't have the BAC control option (which you probably don't, because it was yet another promised yet never delivered feature by the dishonest people at Microtech) then the only way to adjust the idle speed is by turning the hard idle stop screw on the throttle body. Looking from the turbo side across the upper rear of the intake manifold, you will see a screw with a jam nut on the throttle body. The screw pushes a little lever on the throttle shaft. Loosen the jam nut and turn the screw to adjust the idle speed. You'll need to recalibrate the TPS afterwards.

Head over to the Microtech site and download the manual for the LT8 as well.
