measure air

maybe a stupid question, how does the rx7 fd3s measure the air coming into the engine? I don't see the maf sensor or anything like that.

It doesn't measure incoming air. It uses a speed-density EFI system. http://www.carcraft.com/techarticles...ion/index.html.

Yep. MAP= Manifold Absolute Pressure.
The Boost sensor for it is mounted on the firewall near the throttle body. Labeled "Sensor Boost".
