M2 larger intercooler with duct
With my recent purchase of the new-to-me 94 base, came a bunch of performance parts that were never installed.
One of them was the M2 large SMIC with air duct. I was trying to do my research and find out about this IC and all I could find were older pictures of the installed product. Also to find that this is a really old IC and company is out of business.
All I have is the IC and the duct. There was no connecting piping included. My question is if anyone has any install info. The IC is bare and has no mounting tabs. Where there brackets with the original kit? Do just the IC piping and couplers hold the IC in the engine bay?
Should I even keep this setup or just buy a more up to date kit that would have everything? Any suggestions of a good SMIC kit?

The M2 large is a nice intercooler. In doing your research, you will often here ASP and M2 mentioned together. I cannot recall details, but I believe one copied the other. Anyway, both are nice, especially if you have the duct.
In terms of fitment, the intercooler just sits on the crossmember and the piping keeps it in place. I ended up putting a piece of rubber matting on my crossmember to keep separation between the two metals. Also, I believe the M2 large will require relocation of your battery.
For reference, I am running an M2 medium.
Again, the M2 large is fine, but I guess it would depend if you have to relocate the battery. If you are looking at other SMICs, then you will have to source either a Greddy/Trust, Blitz, RE Amemiya, Pettit, etc.
Just do some research on those options to see what suits you best. Peruse the "show me your engine bay" thread and you will see some great examples.

@caredden, thanks for the info, looks like the bottom of the IC has some marks of old bushings to keep the bottom of the crossmember. I guess I will have to get a few bends to figure out my piping. The turbo outlet installed is the efini y-pipe. Previous owner also gave me a new greddy elbow.

I agree with Caredden, M2 large is a great SMIC, but overkill unless you have some serious performance mods planned for the car. And relocating the battery on a streeted car is a PITA IMO. I'd also add PFS (Peter Farrell Supercars) medium to those that he mentioned.

I have the old and it was revised because of high pressure drop from low tube count and long tube length. Back in Sport Compact Car project rx7 days they found the M2 medium performed better due to these issues and revised the Large IC.

1) High pressure drop and high volume gives elastic boost response on low rpm primary turbo. I had stock Small SMIC before and the boost response was snappier.
2) End tanks and duct block radiator fan flow. Doesnt lead to overheating the radiator, but transfers a huge amount of radiator heat into IC.
3) Designed before the revised turbo outlet pipe, so you have to use the poor flowing '93-95 lower pipe or get creative. You are missing the pipes anyways though...

2) Can cool quickly between runs by adding a fan and poppimg the hood.
3) Copied so often ( ASP->M2->Pettit->China) you can find the right duct and pipes for it still.
