Just recently joined..

I just bought my RX7 a couple days ago an I fires right up an runs but at a high idle around 1900-2000 rpms an with that comes an massive loss of power. I took it down the road an it would not let me accelerate with anymore then a quarter or if that pedal. I don’t know anything about rotary engines so any input anyone has would be greatly appreciated because I haven’t a clue. Thank you in advance.

It’s a fc ive just tried eliminating the cat in case it was plugged I heard that could’ve been the issue too but so far it still falls on its face and idles high.

The high idle could be an air leak ,make sure all the vaccume hoses are connected on not cracked . As for the not revving out could be secondary injectors blocked or wiring to them faulty. Also replace fuel filter. Also can be fuel pump is faulty
