Just a few small things I need help with
I just traded for a 1988 Mazda RX7 and I'm loving it so far. However, it has a few issues that I need some help with getting started in the right direction.
1. The fuel gauge has a mind of its own. At a full tank, it reads just below full, but when it gets to about halfway, it just drops down to empty and stays there. I've been searching around but haven't found anything.
2. The power steering sensor gives me a beep (single beep...beep...beep) most of the time, but sometimes it goes away. What gives?
3. The oil pressure gauge doesn't work. I've been searching around and I think it's a common enough problem that I can figure it out.
Thanks for reading, and any help will be greatly appreciated.

1. Replace the fuel level sender. It's part of the fuel pump assembly.
2. Read the FAQ for info on what different beeps mean: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...72#post5131072.
3. The oil pressure sender may be broken or disconnected, or the gauge itself may be broken.

I can only speak on issue #3.
I had this problem before, most commonly it because the clip on the woring harness isn't connected. And other times its because the oil presure sensor, big acorn shaped thing, is bad. Search the FSM for the breakdown on the oil pressure sensor and wiring.
