im new to the site

Hey i Just got a 1984 rx7 given to me however It was sitting for three years and i think he engine may have froze up. Well the back rotar is good compression but the front wont do anything he is trying to use atf to see if that will help but im thinking im just gonna buy this engine

http://sunrisejdmmotors.com/engine_d...p?id=67&page=1

i dunno how hard it would be to put this in the car with some help from some friends and hook all the electrical up however i noticed ont he site there is no compression or anything about how many miles the engine might have on it so i dunno if i am gonna go threw with it,,.

i wanna do a 13b turbo swap out the 12a bad i just was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction to learn as much as i can about doing this i know its not gonna be easy but i have a friend thats a good welder and a friend that has completly rebuilt a rx7 engine using the best parts of three engines so he knows alot but i would like to know what im getting my self into?

Pour some Seafoam in the front chamber and spin it arounda a few times. spin it a bit everyday for about a week, and see if that changes. Odds are you have a stuck apex seal.

Another way, is to look into the exhaust housing and see if you can find the 3 apex's and not torn up.

To swap a later gen 13b, you need front cover and oil pan from a GSL-SE. Also grab the engine mount brace, or just slot yours.

Despite what you think of the concept, our forums are 99% spam free and we have been able to rid ourselves of nearly all problem users.

Many new users are also finding a safe place to post in our new user technical section, additionally instead of new users posting threads within seconds of signing up they are forced to READ before posting and actually take a moment to find an answers they seek.

As I mentioned are also able to spot new users who may pose a problem in the future. I hope you aren't intending to be one of those.
