idle and hesitation problems

hey guys I'm new to this site and the rotary scene just got an fc s5 that has some problems idling it is bouncing between 1500 and 2000 and when I start it sometimes idle drop so low it dies. the other problem that occurs is during acceleration it hesitates pretty bad but not always at same rpms just when ever I get on it a bit. could these problems be related and does any one have any ideas?

Typically a vacuum leak or bad/misadjusted TPS.

My 88 N/A vert has the same idling problem! but not everytime though. Tonight when I first started it cold, idle drops so low and it died, after restarted I gave a little gas but still bounces between 1500 to 2000 rpm. After I ran it and the car warmed up the idle problem is gone.....

Am I having the same vaccume leak problem?

thanks a lot

First tps ajustement, second new spark plug and cable, third new O2 sensor and forth if the 3 other one dosent work, check for a vacuum leak

Good luck
