I have an 86 rx7 non-turbo totally stock fuel pumps not getting power

I have an original owner 86 rx7 non turbo model and while driving it one day it started to stall when i was hitting the gas till it just died on me while going about 50mph i tested all the spark plugs their all working right then took the fuel line coming out of the fuel filter and tried to start the car and no fuel was coming out then took the fuel line before the filter and still no fuel would come out when cranking the car i then ran a direct line to the fuel pump and it started up no problem so i tested the power line that turns the fuel pump on and its not supplying power does anyone know if theirs a relay on a non-turbo 86 rx7 that supply's power to the fuel pump, also the main relay is working properly thanks

i've been having a similar problem with my '90 gtu. the fuel pump was working okay, just engine not getting enough gas because i had to hold the afm in, so i figured it was the fuel filter cuz it was sitting for a year...so i depressurized the fuel system by unplugging the fuel pump and cranking and replaced the fuel filter, and then plugged the pump back in and grounded the yellow test connector to prime fuel system, but the fuel pump is now getting absolutely zero power, whereas before it was pumping because i could get it to idle. i checked all connections and idk what the problem is, a friend from church who's a good mechanic is gonna look at it. i'll let ya know if he gets it workin.

NJ hi

Hey first thing to do check the fuses are relay which am sure it should have one,if that's fine check your ground from the the pump,so if your problem is power get a wiring diagram and check the wire from were it begins and if you have power there and not at the end that means you have a short. But no matter what you are going to get the wiring diagram and a powerprobe will be useful
