Thumbs up How to trade a car in Wa state???

Hi all, I am currently thinking about trading my 95 Integra for an 88 rx7 that is in pretty good shape I would say. Can anyone tell my why this guy would want my car and get rid of his for other than what he told me, which was to get more gas mileage. Mine is gonna need a new clutch soon and needs new springs and shocks. So I was about to dump some money into it anyways. I am in the army so I just need something that is gonna get me around here and there. All close places.... Does anyone know what the process I would have to go through to trade vehicles with someone in WA??? Thx yall

if it's anything like Ohio, all you'd have to is go to a bank where a notary is, then sign your title over to him, and have him sign his title over to you. When you get there the notary can help you out, i'm sure they've done it a million times before. For the value you spent just put $0 since you're just trading and no cash is involved.

As far as why he wants to trade there could be a bunch of different reasons. There is a chance something is wrong with it, maybe he's just bored of rx7's, it could be he just really hates gas mileage. whatever the reason, make sure you check his car out thoroughly and make sure you are COMPLETELY satisfied before you sign papers. Don't be afraid to walk away from the deal if it doesn't feel right for any reason.

Thumbs up Kudos

Thx for all the advise man I actually posted too early without googling lol. I ended up finding all the info at the vehicle taxing, titling and licensing offices website. Apparently you can gift a car to someone Who knew lol All you have to do is write on a paper all your and the cars info and why your giving him the car basically. Then you gotta provide proof that taxes were paid on the car somehow and then u fill out another form transferring the title over. Thats it in a nutshell anyways... and not a dime is spent this way. Thats my favorite part, oh and I am having his car checked out at a Mazda dealership known for their rotary mechanics around Tacoma WA. We will see how it goes, if I do get it there will be pics. Alrighty thx a mil again!!
