how much boost
I joined this forum a while back when I was about to buy a 3rd gen. Things didnt work out but looking better. Anyway a friend of mine is build a motor for his 2nd gen and I cant seem to agree with him on certain things but since he has been into rotarys a lot longer than I have I dont argue with him. he is plan on running a t77 turbo with 500cc pri/1000cc sec (I suggested 1600) and just a fuel cut defender with stock ecu. He will be running 20lb low boost and 35 high boost. He seem to be under the impression thats all he needs. From what I learned last time being on here you need some type of ems. Am I wrong about the ems and the boost seem a lil high to me. 35lbs how the hell is the motor going to hold that. Pretty much my questions is how boost can these motors really hold and for how long. Also at what point due you start to push the limits of the stock ecu.
his car
Turbo 2
3mm seals
t77
exhaust
fmic the normal stuff.

The stock computer will not handle the fuel for that setup. That's a ton of boost.
He needs to look at a complete fuel system in addition to a standalone. And I would rethink that amount of boost.

That's a ridiculous amount of boost. To push that much, the car will be running on alcohol.
ANY non-stock turbo kind of requires a standalone to be reliable. In this case, a standalone is absolutely necessary.
Sounds like this person doesn't really understand how boost pressure is not how a turbo is measured.
