how do i start my car/broken ignition
OK, so long story short. someone F'ed up my ignition, and i need to fix it or at least get it so i can start the car because im selling it to a friend.
so heres where the key goes in obviously
and heres the white cylinder that goes on the direct opposite side of the where the key is inserted.
that white piece of plastic has a black cylinder inside of it that turns as you turn the key and starts the car. said jackass. cracked the black cylinder inside and now it has almost a spring loadedness to it. i can turn it with a cresent wrench to the on position but not to start. and when i release pressure it flips back to the lcok position.
please help me out here.. how do i get the white plastic off from around the black?
any ideas?
i need some help asap. if you have any questions on what im asking feel free to ask

The white plastic piece you're holding is the ignition switch. From the sound of it, it will need to be replaced. You can try to find a used one in the classifieds, or get a brand new one from an auto parts store. They're about $125 new.
The second option is to very careful take the switch apart to see if it's fixable (but highly unlikely). There are some tabs around the bottom that will need to be pressed in to allow the halves to separate. ONLY open it with the white part facing DOWN. There are many small copper pieces inside that have to stay in the exact same position they came in. If they fall out, it will be impossible to reassemble correctly.
