How can i tell if my 13b is turbo (no turbo on it)
Okay so here is my problem, I have 87 "N/A" GXL and my clutch was going out so I took out my transmission to find out its a turbo transmission... How can i tell if my block is a turbo block? All my components (i.e. igniters, computer, pressure sensor...) all say N327 which is N/A. and i have a stock n/a exhaust manifold. How can tell if someone did a swap on just my transmission and not the engine, and how can tell if my rear differential is a turbo one?

I have a TII and my block simply says "13B". However, recently I've discovered some things that have been mixed and matched during a rebuild and I wonder the same...I could not locate a VIN on the engine block with it still in the car to verify.

The 13B engine has several components to the "block", and they can be swapped between turbo and non-turbo engines. The block components don't matter a hill of beans until you need a rebuild, and at that point you can disassemble the parts to see what you have. Most likely you have a complete non-turbo block if it has a stock non-turbo intake manifold and exhaust header.
The non-turbo halfshafts have a 24mm diameter, while the turbo halfshafts have a 26mm diameter. If your car has a non-turbo differential, then check to see if the driveshaft has been jury-rigged to fit where it attaches to the differential. There should be only one set of round holes in the flange, and no spacer. A proper turbo transmission to non-turbo differential requires a custom driveshaft, such as the one sold by Mazdatrix.

Okay, so figured out that my FC is TII from the flywheel back, there is screwed on letter plate with an "e" on it on the cast iron left side around from where the base of dipstick is, a turbo will have normally have a "G" took a lot of research for that. Thank you for the replies learned allot =P
