Help! Starting problem
Hello all, I have 89 rx7 convertible n/a. I have been experiencing a starting problem. I can get the car started and it will run fine, but as soon as I turn the car off. It won't start again, it just turns over. I have to wait an hour or so before it will start up again. All it does it turn over forever. I'm not sure why it does this. The engine has been rebuilt and has a mild street port. Other then that it is mostly stock. If someone could give me an idea of what to check, or replace that would be great!
Thanks

How long ago was it rebuilt? Hot starting issues are usually the result low compression. If you don't have a .pdf copy of the s5 fsm you should go ahead and download a copy. I would also use a multimeter and check the readings of the coolant temp sensor.

It was rebuilt a couple months ago, it has 26,000 miles on rebuild. And I'll go ahead and check the readings of the coolant temp sensor

Believe that would be the water thermosensor. Green/White wire at the ECU. Reads about 2-3 volts w/engine cold and key to on. Completely warmed up engine would read .4 volts. Also, leaky injectors could cause a hot engine to fire up.

I have 440cc primary injectors and 660cc secondary. Should I try and clean the secondary injectors? My problem is trying to get to them.
