i have broken off my drivers side door handle and im not sure how to reapair it, i was wondering if i could just get a new handle and attach it or does all the central locking and stuff need to be sorted at the same time?
i havent done alot of work on my car as i have only had it about 4 days.
so please can someone help talk me threw what i need to do.
Mazda wanted £250 to fix this :S is that worth taking or is it alot cheaper for me to do myself?
Thanks

if you can find just the handle you can take the whole assembly off. There aretwo nuts that you remove from the interior side of the door and the whole assembly comes off. There are 4 small phillips screws holding the main pin to the assembly that the actual lever attaches to. once you take those four screws loose you can pull the pin and exchange the handle. if you want to change out the whole thing the lock itself is held on by a metal clip which is very easy to undo. Once you take off the metal clip the lock cylinder will slide out of the assembly. There are two other screws that you will need to take out and you will see which ones they are because your electric wire will be fastened down by them. This is a very easy repair. Please pm me if you have any trouble doing this job.
