ON godspeed quality?

I was just looking around the godspeed web site and was surprised by the prices. Back when i was into the import scene prices were way higher for similar items, so why so cheap? what is the quality like on these items (i used godspeed as a reference, but i am sure there are other similar companies)? are their products just inexpensive, or are they cheap crap?

Godspeed is a popular name used by several Chinese manufacturers. There are several suppliers using this name, so the quality varies, but none of the products are up to par with the leading competition parts.

Depends on what kind of part you're talking about, too. I would (and did) buy a Chinese intercooler, but wouldn't buy a Chinese turbo.

99% of chinese products are trash. Buy from a reputable shop/manufacture and you will be happy with the product. I replace a lot of ebay trash with my own products we build at my shop all the time. The owners are always very happy with the quality and very rarely go back to ebay junk.

Godspeed is junk. The only ebay company that has managed any level of quality is megan racing, just stay the heck away from their coilovers, you'd do a better job building your own using a good set of shocks like konis.

If you could have got them half price on cyber monday you might have got your moneys worth otherwise, I would get megans for a extra $100 or stance/powered by max if you want to spend a little more those are better then the megans.

you get what you pay for. if you do decide to cheap out, dont do it on items that have moving parts.

Megans are no better than Brian Crower, K-Sport, D2 or any other garbage budget coilover.

The only budget coilover even worth considering would be tein basics, and then your still getting what you pay for. If you wan't some good coilovers for less than about 2k your gonna want to build your own with koni yellow shocks. I am not sure if there is a write up out there for RX-7s but the same basic principles apply as what is done at this site.

You could basically do this with any set of koni yellows and the correct parts. If you can't afford a full blown coilover setup, and are not interested in all the adjust-ability and just want a decent drop, pick up some name brand springs and konis. Best suspension you can get for under 1000$ Maybe through in a camber kit or camber bolts.

I even managed to find you a pretty good rate on Koni shocks for an FC if you just check google you can find them for an FD or SA/FB. http://www.jdmhub.com/index.php?rout...940_8834_55768
