GAS MIXTURE?? advice?

[Hello, my names Denton. I have a 83 rx7 gsl, stock other than a 48ida Webber carb \k&n filter, I bought this car the way it is about a month ago for 750$, the guy I got it from said the omp pump is off so I have to mix the gas due to the weber carb. What mixture do I run? Recommendation s on oil? Right now I'm running like 300:1 ratio, iv read around and iv seen anywhere from 100:1 all the way up to 500:1 so I kinda picked the middle, and I'm just using some outboard 2cycle oil for jet ski/snowmobiles ect... Any opinion would help me!! I'm new to this sight and rotorys but I have many question but do not want to bother people! Need professional opinions , no one knows about rotorys where I live. Thanks- Denton

Yes you have to always premix as the car doesn't have a functioning OMP. If you do 1oz per 2 gallons that would be 1:256 (if you mean this by saying 300:1). Usually people do 1 oz per 1 gallon with no OMP. Just search this forum - lots of info in here.
