Question FD What are these connectors in my engine bay???

I bought my FD non-running, I was told the engine was rebuilt less than 20 miles ago (although the dirtiness of the bay seems like its been 100,000 since a rebuild).

While I looked in the engine bay, I noticed that there were several connectors that were left unconnected. If you guys could help me identify these I would be very grateful.

1. The big one:

Don't know if this does anything, but it looks like it could be important.

2. Top drivers side of engine bay

This one confuses me because there it is attached to the firewall, but there is nothing close to it to plug into.

3. This one comes all the way from the other side of the engine bay and is laying on top of the trans.

4.This one is under the car and is dragging on the ground

5. The trio

These three are coming from the same spot on the engine harness, looks like one was repaired with a new connector.

Thanks for any help you can give me,
Jeff

I *should* be able to list all of those, but I'm not that good of an FD mechanic. But here are a few good guesses:
1. Oil metering pump. You'll want to put premix in the oil if you find this car has had the oil metering pump deleted or disabled. In fact, premix just to be safe until you figure out if the OMP system is intact and functional.

2. That looks like the cruise control module connector. All FDs have the cruise wiring regardless of whether were equipped with the rest of the cruise stuff.

3. I think it plugs into another plug on the power steering harness or front engine harness. In any case it plugs in right below where you are holding it in that picture, not on top of the trans.

4. Dunno.

5. The one with the blue and yellow wire looks like the power steering pressure sensor plug. Not sure about the others you're holding.

Definitely dig into the wiring diagram (download it here: http://www.wrex-racing.com/web/fd/info.htm) and look up what you can based on wire colors, terminal configuration, and location. It took me a while to understand much in that manual but it's all hiding in there somewhere.

1 makes since, I was told I have to use premix because the pump was disabled.

2 pisses me off, since its a touring and cruise control was one of the main reasons I wanted a touring.

3 I don't think pugs into the trans, I was just saying it is running all the way from the other side of the bay, laying on top of the trans. It looks to be speaker wire, but the plug on the end looks like a stock plug.

4 ?

5 the P/S pump doesnt have a belt on it, so its not running. The others are just "extra" I guess.

Thanks for the help Dave.
