FD motor performance versus a s4 tII motor - Comparison?

hi, I have a well modded s4 tII with a BNR turbo in a first gen car (300+ HP) and I am exploring the option of putting in an FD motor instead.
I am looking for a fun strong, reliable daily driver and I think that despite having to handicap the FD motor with a single turbo only, for chasis clearance, I want some advice about how much better (or not?) the FD motor will make the car perform.

stick with what you have, getting the motor mounts to fit correctly will be a pita in an FC. as far as performance is concerned, I believe the main high points of the FD engine is the sequential turbos since the internals are essentially the same, and in fact I think the FD rotors have a lower compression ratio compared to the TII ones. on account of safety when running slightly higher boost.

Someone may jump in and correct me, but I believe your better off where your at and just porting the motor you have and throwing a bigger turbo on.

thought he said "first gen" not FC. anyways making 300 plus in a first gen is way more than i would expect to want for a DD. do u have this fd motor just laying around? or do u have to buy it and if so couldnt u just throw that money into the ride some other way to get desired performance? i have a FC with about 180.. 300 would be awesome to have.... IMO keep the tII engine

No point going to the 13B-REW if your goal is only 300HP. The REW has bigger ports, a better chrome coating on the housings, and a thicker rear iron. But none of these come into play unless you are going for higher HP, on the order of 500 HP and above.

Thanks guys,
Yes it is an fb. I was going to sell the complete running motor for money
to get the FD engine. It's at least 350 HP we figure and it has a ton of goodies including most of the stuff polished as well.
My understanding was that the FD engine would easily send out a lot more horsepower without much modification. The japanese blocks are reasonably priced and I thought that to go ten years newer in technology, with more horsepower, that it might be money shrewdly spent.
I haven't driven many FD cars and if the engine set up is smoother and more streetable, then i would be more interested.
If the setups are comparable, then i might get a newer ECU than the E6K, one that is easier to tune, like a simple but newer haltech, and put some miles on my car.
