FD / 12A hybrid

Not new to the site but took a break for a while between cars.

My buddy and i have a little compitition going right now we are both running a large street port form the same templates with an HX 52. and all other bolt ons we purchased and fabbed in pairs

My idea for squeezing some RPM out of the car is to biuld a 12A hybrid out of my engine

12a housings dont match cuz they have the o-ring groove in the housing and lack the oil Injector in them. FD o-ring is in the end plates so I was going to machine some 13b housings down to 12A width

I was going to run the 12A E-shaft a rotors as well as looking at getting some J-spec 12A turbo 8.5:1 rotors. while im working on the housing issues.

Essentially i will be making a 1.2L FD engine running 8.5 instead of 9.0:1 compression that im suspecting should let me boost a little highter somewhat safer than my competition.

benefits i see are a lighter rotating mass with less width to let me spin it higher safely and i can use just about any condition housing cuz the flaking would just be milled off. Any thoughts or ideas about this idea?

I think it's a waste of time. By all means, machine down the 13B housings to fit the 12A irons. But I wouldn't lower the compression.

Then again, since you have not given any power goals, I'm just guessing.

Edit...OK, I just looked up the HX52. Apparently we are talking about a turbo similar to a GT4294, which leads me to believe you are looking to put down around 600HP? 12A plates are going to be pretty fragile at that point.
