BC FC3S Steering Knuckle Composition

Hey guys, not necessarily new to the RX-7 scene but a newbie on the forum so to speak. I've owned a second Gen for about 2 years now and I recently just parked it for the winter to give it it's 3rd reincarnation. One of the things I'm hoping to increase is the amount of steering angle the suspension can produce. I've done a bunch of research on this forum on the knuckle modifications but I have one question. Are the knuckles on FC's Cast Iron, or Cast Steel? I know about rack spacers and bump steer kits but I want to do the knuckle mod because they're off the car right now anyways and I want to get the most out of the suspension for this next year. Any help would be much appreciated because o don't want to have to take a welder to the knuckle to know for sure...

Nobody? hopefully someone that has done the knuckle mod will show up here, if not I'll just clean one up and run an arc and see if it bubbles or not
