PA Fc rx7 Turbo II possible blown motor?

Hey everybody, new to the rotary engine thing. Bought a turbo two that would flood alot, and smoke even after it is warmed up. Was pulling up to a light and the car shut off. Turned it back on to hear a tapping or skipping type of sound, increased with revs. i think the apex seals were bad before, but I have noclue what this sound is now. i will post a link to the video below. if anybody has a clue, thank you.

Will do. Bad compression means bad apex seals I assume.

Does sound like a part of seal being thrown around. Remember sometimes the 13b can run on one rotor even if compression low on the other due to damaged seal. Either way that engine needs a rebuild and possibly a new housing if the apex seal has scored the surface

in my experience, when an apex seal goes the engine will barely run much less sit there and idle like that.

Guess it depends on severity, I blew a seal on the motorway and it still let me drive home 10miles :/

When it first happend, it stalled out, I started it back up and would barely run. full throttle to get it off the highway and it had no power. Started it up at home to make a quick video, and it runs like this warmed up.

Did you do a compression test?

sounds more like the engine is now off balance, possibly a rotor that is lightly tapping the side of the housing but could be none of the above and just a semi clogged fuel injector or fouled spark plug.
