It's Hks' older engine management, the one they made before the fcon pro. It has it's own ecu and a jumper harness that goes from the OEM ECU to the Hks ecu. I can maybe pm RTEK and see if the chipping can be done. Otherwise injectors will get sent away and what else? Anything more that would make this thing flood? It only seems to happen when I drive the car for a bit otherwise it's all good or even a short drive it starts perfectly.

Hot starts are the problem w/an old rotary engine. Maybe a fuel cut switch is an easy and very cheap solution though.

Alright, sorry it has been awhile. I got a chance to do some work on the car the other day, so I installed a fuel cut switch. I did the UN flooding procedure and got it running and drove it around my shop yard and had it running for a good 45mins to get it fully warm. I then turned the car off and took my other car out. Came back to try the switch out so turned the pump off cranked and no fire.... I then turned the pump on and cranked and still no fire. The battery then died shortly after, I'm wondering if maybe it just didn't start because the battery could have been low on voltage? Otherwise I dunno what is going on now hahaha

A dying battery certainly isn't going to help. I've never used a fuel cut switch but I believe you use it as follows. Turn the fuel pump off and while cranking you turn the pump back on.

No dice charged the battery fully shut fuel pump off held accelerator to the floor, cranked but no fire. I decided the shutting the fuel pump off would be the best way to start considering it was warm when I shut it off last so as not to ad to the flooding. Once that method did not work I tried cranking with the fuel pump on as normally you would start the car and still nothing! I'm stumped, the car runs great when I get it to start but my god if I could only get it to start consistantly

What did you figure out? Not very appropriate to keep this info to yourself for it precludes others from understanding how to fix certain problems similar to the one faced by yourself.

I narrowed it down to three things I did that seem to make sense that would have solved the problem. A terribly old and screwed up manual boost controller that I believe was causing a vacuum leak, leaky injectors fixed with the fuel pump switch and a weak battery
