Ecu tuning possibilties

Are there any remote tuning possibilities for the 2nd generation Rx-7's for the stock ECU's. I used to e-mail maps back and forth with my tuner for my evo and wondered if anything like that exists or is even possible with the rx-7

I don't believe the stock system offers this. There are plenty of aftermarket systems that will do what you had in the EVO. One of our forum members sells some replacement ECU's that are tunable. C. Ludwig is his user name. Ludwig Motorsports or something like that. Of course as you know the sky is the limit of how much you can spend, Megasquirt comes to mind as one of the best budget programable ECU's. Chris will be able to guide you.

It basically comes down to preference, when you start looking into full standalone units. Look in the Engine Management sub-forum.
Haltech offers full ignition and fuel control.

Any engine management that offers datalogging and map saving will enable this. Which is basically all of them save for the Microtech.

I wouldn't suggest you make a habit of "remote tuning" a rotary though. If a mistake is made, you'll be rebuilding the engine.
