Dash lights dont work.

Ground to the body, use the 10mm bolt behind the center console front drivers access panel. Do not use the Red/Black as ground it will damage the interior light circuit.

I was wondering what kind of damage this could do. I replaced my head light switch and harness because it was burnt and the guy before me wired so it would work. Since I replace the switch and harness the dash lights dont work nor ac/heater controll lights. everything dims like it supposed to, and the radio lights come on. When I bought it, it had an aftermarket radio so I wanted to know what kind of damage grounding in the wrong place could have done. The switch I bought was used but every thing works like its supposed to except no dash lights when I turn the headlight switch to parking or full lights.
I also put a factory radio back in.
Please help Thanks.
