Cruise control not working? Turn signal dont auto center.

I recently got an 87 RX7 GXL. 13B

I tried to use the cruise control for the first time the other day but I found that it wouldn't work for me.
Not to mention the turn signals dont automatically come back when the steering wheel is turned.

Im not sure if the previous owner did something to it but it has an aftermarket steering wheel.

Does anyone have any ideas on where to start looking for problems?

Aftermarket steering wheel install huh?
Ok,there is a plastic collar that cancel the signals on the steering shaft just UNDER the stock wheel,.
IF that gets broke on aftermarket steering install then your signals will not cancel. If it is on there and your signals work but NOT when the wheel is straight after a turn then it was not aligned right.
Stupid question..do you HAVE a cruise control actuator in your engine bay hooked up to the engine?.It is located on the passenger side firewall right in the corner, by the little plastic jug,(cold start assist bottle).

SO i checked out the area you told me about
I did find a connector that wasnt hooked up but that was about it. Other than that I couldnt determine where the cruise control was coming from. I checked the throttle and it looked like there wasnt even a cable attached like ive seen in my other car.

The wire I saw might be relevant but it was in front of the jug.

The Actuator is electrically connected and also vacuum connected to the throttle body(engine).
The connector I think has 6 wires,or so.It should be on the harness.
The car Needs a Cruise control ECU and that is at the Driver's Kick panel. If it is not there then the motor and your button are just ornaments!
Honestly, and you are talking to a guy that has been into these cars since day One,Cruise control will just be annoying.
You will ALWAYS want to put your foot on the gas.
Sure it's nice to have on a 600 mile trek across the USA but when you are going 30 miles?..

I'm just trying to make you "shop smart"..lol!
You will quickly find that you want a LOT of parts for this car,and spending Hard earned money on a Part that will sit there and look "stupid" will **** you off!

Think of it as 60 dollars towards coil overs..(chuckle!)

Cruise on an rx7.....
.like "JUMBO Shrimp".
.Wiping before you poop.
.asking a Blind guy: "Did you see that?"

(you got any Coffee?...haha!)
