Coolant temperature sending unit need help

I bought a 1990 rx7 GTU a couple of weeks ago and i have put a new starter on it and unflooded it and found out in the process that the fuel pump was no good and i noticed the wire for the colant level sensor was cut in half and i noiced that the temp was showing high on the dash even though i havent gotten it started yet so i knew it had to be the coolant sending unit well i located it looking at my haynes manual but the wire is missing i know which direction to look for the coolant level sensor wire but my problem is i dont know where to look for the wire that is for the coolant temp sensor so if some one could possible point me in the right direction for finding that one wire it would be greatly appreciated

Your post is incredibly hard to understand because you didn't use any punctuation.

I'm guessing that you are looking for the location of the coolant temp sender for the gauge? If so, it is located on the rear iron below the oil filter, slightly above the oil pressure sender.

Sorry for running it all togeather, I know where the sending unit is, My problem is the wire that goes to it is nowhere in sight. I need to know where the wire comes from so i can locate it, and hook it up. Simply put, Where does the coolant sending unit wire come from in the engine bay.

Off of the front harness. The wire normally comes off of it right next to the wire for the oil pressure sender, which is also next to the coolant temp sender.

Ok so if the sending unit is above the leading spark plug what is the thing in the lower drivers side on the radiator? Is that for the temp guage? I have an s4. I also have an automatic radiator. My car is 5spd tho.

Temp sender for gauge: rear iron
Temp sender for ECU: water pump housing

Wait, is the OP referring to the level warning sensor on the top of the rad, or the temp sensor on the rear iron?

If it is the rear iron sensor, then the wire is yellow/white.

If it is the rad, then I think the wire is brown.

He's talking about the coolant level sensor on top of the rad. That is a brown wire .. The coolant acts like a ground and when the wire or the sensor isn't grounded the " ADD COOLANT " light comes on. And the warning buzzer goes off like crazy..

The one for the iron ( I have an s4) that is yellow. check to see the wire harness near that area for that yellow wire branches off.

The coolant level sensor is brown comes from a harness towards the bottom of the rad. Hope this helps you
